What to Expect



With Michelle Ma Belle Photography your investment receives the utmost attention to detail and ultimate customer service. 
This process is designed to provide clients with a custom full service photography experience.


The first step, following your inquiry, is to ensure we are a good fit. We can chat in -person or by phone. Ideally, we will meet at my office in Ottawa South so that we can officially meet and you can view all the professional quality products we offer. We can also meet you "half way" if you are located in a different part of the city (i.e. coffee shop). There is absolutely no fee for the consultation and you are not obligated to book - although we certainly hope you do! We will then proceed with scheduling your session and processing payment. You will also be asked to sign an client session agreement form and complete a questionnaire which covers session goals, location, clothing options, and most importantly, how and where you want to display your memories. It is essential to the success of your session that we take the time before your session to ensure all expectations and goals are well communicated in advance.

All Michelle Ma Belle Photography sessions include a mix of posed and lifestyle portraits, as well as detail and candid captures. This style supports a relaxed and casual photography session and provides you with a wide variety of portraits and memories to display. 
Sessions last about one hour however this is more of a guideline than strict limit. I prefer not to set a specific time limit due to the nature of family photography and the variables that may arise; some sessions require more pauses and others flow seamlessly. Outdoor sessions take place within 1-2 hours of sunrise or sunset, and in-home sessions are held during the morning hours; this ensures the best quality of light for your session. Special accommodations can be made upon request.
Once your portrait session is complete, we will schedule a date for your viewing and ordering session. This appointment takes place within two weeks of your photo session. 


Your custom viewing and ordering appointment will take place at our office in Ottawa South . All orders must be placed and paid for during the session therefore we recommend having all decision-makers present at the session. Payment at the ordering session can be made by Paypal, e-transfer, cash, or credit card. Payment plans are available upon request. Products are only ordered and digital file purchases are only released once full payment is received.
Our office is equipped with a large screen television for your viewing pleasure, as well as comfortable seating, and several sample products for your consideration. 
We will be available to assist you in your selection by providing expert advise and recommendations on product options and/or placement.
