What are "mini sessions"?
Well, in a nutshell, a mini session is a photography session that typically lasts about 20 minutes and is offered at a reduced price for consumers. These sessions take place at a pre-determined location with props to suit the theme/location. Clients are able to select their favourite images from an online gallery of edited images.
It’s the perfect way for new clients to get a taste of my photography style before booking a full session. They’re also ideal for “themed” photos throughout the year, marking special events and milestones.
My goal is to keep it fun and get as many posed and candid shots as possible.
Mini sessions have many great perks. For starters, I like to think of the mini session as a picture refresh. This is the perfect time to get some good quality professional images of your family, little ones, tweens or high schoolers that will “refresh” the pictures that you currently have hanging on your walls.
It’s like that school photo, you know, the frame that has the previous years pictures in it all lined up behind the newest picture, but better.
There are also many themed shoots offered in various areas of the city, such as Spring Blossom Minis, Maternity Minis, Back to School Minis, Fall Harvest Minis, festive minis, etc...
The possibilities are endless!
What you get from a mini session is the experience of working with a professional photographer at a very desirable location that will result in amazing images & family fun. The beauty is that since this is custom photography, the image on your wall will not look like the exact replica of the image in the mall photo shop window.
Who are mini sessions for?
Mini Sessions are a great way for clients to refresh their family portraits without a big time or financial commitment. They are ideal for those with busy schedules or little ones, and for clients looking for creative and original portrait options.
What mini sessions are you currently offering?
I am currently hosting sold out Holiday Traditions Minis as well as Merry Minis until mid-December. 2017 will host a variety of themes and locations, starting with maternity minis this winter.

Can we choose our own location ?
Mini-sessions take place at a pre-determined location. I am located in Ottawa South and like to plan sessions in the area, however I do host sessions planned in various areas of the city, depending on the mini session theme. I do a lot of location scouting to make sure I pick the perfect spot for each round of minis.
Is there a limit to the number of people ?
Mini-sessions are for single family units only. This basically means your immediate family. There is a short amount of time to work with therefore it's best to keep the subject count to a minimum. If you want to include grandparents or other loved ones, I recommend booking one of my portrait packages.
When will our online gallery be available?
Sneak peeks are available within 48 hrs & galleries are ready within 10 days. unless indicated otherwise.
How much do mini sessions cost?
Most mini sessions are $125 and include at least 5 images. Please refer to my mini session info located HERE for session details and pricing.
How do we reserve our session?
Sessions are booked on a first come, first serve basis. I announce mini session dates to clients via newsletter first, then on Facebook and on my website for public interest. All bookings require a 25% deposit to secure the date/time of the session, and full payment is required 24 hrs in advance. Payment can be made via cash, check, EMT or PayPal.
