Celebrate 5 Years of Marriage with a Natural Wood Keepsake Box

Five Years of Wedded Bliss

Today, my husband and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. Would you believe that we have never officially celebrated our anniversary? True story. Why, you ask? Well, within those five fleeting years we've welcomed two more children; in fact, we had our middle son a week before our first anniversary. Our anniversary also falls right in the middle of hockey try outs, and seeing as hockey trumps pretty much every other life event, getting our oldest to his games and scrimmages has always been a priority.

Celebrate with Memories

I do however feel like 5 years is something to celebrate. It may not match up to the decades others may have under their belts but it's a solid start. Seeing as I knew the odds of us getting out for a quiet dinner or even being able to sit for a hot meal at home on our anniversary was pretty much slim to none, I wanted to treat ourselves to a special gift that wouldl allow us to take a brisk walk down memory lane when those rare quiet moments happen at home.
Did you know that the gift theme for a 5th wedding anniversary is wood? The things you learn when you're married...

A Natural Beauty

This beautiful wooden keepsake box features one of my favourite wedding photographs on the sliding lid and holds a selection of mounted prints of photos from our big day. The The best part is that it comes with a little wooden display stand so we can display each photo, one by one, day after day. I also had the bottom of the lid engraved with our wedding date and a message. Being a print-based photographer has its perks ;)
